Today Orissa Philatelic Association organised one exhibition on the theme of Gandhi.A special cover was released  on this occasion.The cover depicts the photograph of "Rajghat" where Mahatma Gandhiji's immortal body lies in peace and the funeral procession of Mahatma Gandhi at back ground.


A quiz competition was held during this exhibition among school students.Some of the memories are given below.

Orissa Philatelic Association is going to organise one small exhibition  on 30-01-2010 at Cuttack Philatelic Bureau.The theme of the exhibition is "Gandhi".
One special cover and cancellation will be released on that day.
Mr.Suvendu Swain IPS ,Director of Postal Services will inagurate the exhibition.
Exhibition opens from 10am to 5pm on that day
There will be one quiz competition among the school students on that day and a lot of prizes will be given. Participation certificates will be given to all participants.

Some dealers may attend the exhibition.

Orissa Philatelic Association released one special cover on 12-01-2010 by H.H.Dalailama during his visit to Odisha and inagurated the Padmasambhava Mahavihar(Rigon Thupten Monastery) at Chandragiri,Odisha.


".The Rigon thupten mindrolling monastery was started in 1961 at Jerango,Chandragiri,Odisha.This is the largest monastery in the Eastern India. Built in an area of 10acres land,it is a marvellous centre of of worship.It is five storied complex having huge meditation hall and various temples inside the complex.The majestic and magnificent 21 feet imageof Lord Budha and 17 feet statue of both lord Padmasambhava and compassion god lord Avalokiteswar create an environment of divinity."
Cover depicts the Padmasambhava Mahavihar(Rigon Thupten Manstery) which is the Ripa lineage Tibetan Budhist manastery located in Odisha,and H.E.Namkha Drimed Rinpoche and Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche

Cancellation depicts Bajra and lotus.
